new menu is now available.

We have made a great comeback of fried shrimp using exactly the same method of preparation as when I opened “Kitchen Kuni”, the restaurant I founded when I was 27 years old, under the concept of “Your Kitchen”.
We have started offering lunch customers the chance to try one jumbo fried shrimp for 330 yen.
In the old days of the restaurant’s opening, shrimp fries were made with an emphasis on freshness and frying heat, and each time an order was placed, the shrimp fries were thawed, breaded, and deep-fried to order.
Even today, fried shrimp in Western-style restaurants is expensive, but 50 years ago, it was very expensive and representative of high-end Western-style food. Therefore, it was not easy to buy them. But we raised them very, very carefully. Two orders are everything.
I think it took a lot of courage to eat this fried shrimp because it is very expensive. It is an occasional order of fried shrimp, but we never disappoint our customers. Once they eat it and order it again on their next visit, I honestly express my gratitude to them.

After six months of hard work, we had a box ready to go and sold out on Saturdays and Sundays.
This commitment to fried shrimp was the starting point of Pepper Food Service’s breakthrough.
Eventually, it became so commonplace that people stopped talking about how delicious the fried shrimp was. It became commonplace and sold well.
Then a new item appeared on the menu, the steak menu, which continues to this day.

You may be wondering why fried shrimp in a restaurant specializing in wagyu beef,
We wanted to offer flowers at lunch time.
We want to open the way for customers to come to our restaurant with the objective of having delicious fried prawns if they go there.
Soon, we will also introduce Wagyu beef hamburgers unique to Wabuni. Please look forward to it as well.
